A long study was conducted by the Harvard-based Nurses Healthy Study and Health Professionals Follow Up Study. The study was done on 110,000 men and women whose health and eating habits were monitored and recorded for 14 years. The researchers combined the information gathered from the Harvard studies with a couple other long-term studies done that were in the U.S. and Europe. They looked at coronary
heart diease and stroke separately and they both came to the same conclusion. Their conclusion was that the people who consumed more than 5 servings of fruit and vegetables per had about a 20 percent lower risk of coronary heart diease and stroke compared to those who only consumed less than 3 servings of fruit per day.

Benefits of Fruit Being In It's Raw Form
